Insiders gets customers in the mood for e‑invoicing of the future

Insiders makes receiving, processing and sending electronic invoices easy with 360 degree invoice management and enables additional process optimization. The event shows practical examples and provides an insight into the development.

Insiders presented the Insiders vision of Next Level Invoicing to its customers at its e‑invoice user forum.

In light of the upcoming obligation to receive e‑invoices from January 1, 2025, many companies are still uncertain about the actual implementation, the connection to specific portals or the integration into the corresponding processes.

To alleviate this uncertainty and make it easier for companies to transition to the use of electronic invoices, Insiders has further developed its tried-and-tested Invoice Management. This combines the classic processing of paper and PDF documents with the new formats in national and international e‑invoicing into an integrated solution and already enables the efficient receipt and dispatch of e‑invoices in accordance with the latest EU standards as well as automated invoice processing.

After the opening of the user forum in Berlin by Managing Director Werner Weiss, Insiders first explained to its customers the Insiders P2P landscape and how this enables the receipt of electronic invoices, but also the forward-looking sending of electronic invoices and also simplifies processes. It is based on OmnIA, the new platform for intelligent automation, which enables the configuration, orchestration and analysis of services and processes. The solution comprises the components e‑connect, e‑convert and e‑invoice pro.

e‑connect ensures a seamless connection to various national and international portals or email inboxes, e‑convert enables the conversion of all invoice data into the required format and e‑invoice pro is used to process all electronic and other invoices in a single AI-supported workflow. The Insiders P2P landscape is supplemented by various AI modules such as auto-assignment and anomaly detection based on Insiders’ own AI solution OvAItion, as well as familiar product modules for processing orders, delivery bills and order confirmations.

Peppol expert and consultant for the German Peppol Authority Michael Walther then explained in his presentation how the Peppol network works and how customers benefit from the certification of Insiders Technologies as an official access point.

In two user presentations, Insiders customers from the medical sector also presented how they have integrated the Insiders Invoice portfolio into their applications and use it for electronic invoice receipt and issue. Among others, the amedes Group impressed with an insight into figures and data as well as the optimization of their processes through the Insiders Cloud.

This was followed by an outlook from Dr. Maximilian Schwenger, Head of e‑invoicing development at Insiders, on the further development of e‑invoice in 2025, in which he addressed the upcoming change on many levels — in terms of the huge potential of AI technologies, legal requirements and the handling and processing of data, as well as planned product and further developments. The focus here was primarily on the AI modules that can be used in the future and their benefits for process optimization in accounting.

Finally, Head of Channel Management Dr Alexander Swienty rounded off the first day with his presentation “Standardized e‑invoicing — tailor-made for your success”, in which he introduced the Insiders community and the network and explained how the intensive exchange with each other promotes the continuous evolution of Insiders products along a reliable roadmap.

The participants used the second day of the user forum extensively for personal discussions and topic-specific workshops. For example, customers worked with Insiders experts to further develop products such as auto-assembly, anomaly detection and a new human-in-the-loop interface. In 2025, Insiders Technologies intends to continue to engage with selected customers in the e‑invoice sector and incorporate their input into the further development of its products.
